Bennett: We are concerned, not bound by Vienna negotiations
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett says "Israel" is not bound by the nuclear agreements made with Iran.
On Monday, Israeli media reported a speech by Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, who said "Israel" would not be bound by any nuclear agreement with Iran and will continue to act "with no constraints" against its "enemies" if necessary.
In a briefing before a Knesset committee, Bennett expressed his concern over the Vienna talks, saying although "Israel" is concerned, it is "not a party to the agreements" and so it is not bound by what will be agreed upon and will continue to "maintain unlimited and unrestricted freedom of action, everywhere and at all times."
Earlier today during a press conference, the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh, said that "what is happening in Vienna today is an attempt by all parties to reach a permanent result. We witnessed progress in all four areas, lifting sanctions, guarantees, serious initiatives, and the issue of uranium enrichment."
He stated that "there has been significant progress in some of them, while there has been less progress in others. We have reached points that will show us whether the other party has the necessary will or not. The speed of the talks is also important to Iran." However, he pointed out that matters also depend on the other side, emphasizing that both sides should move at the same pace.
