Former US President Donald Trump claimed in a campaign speech that the White House has been infiltrated by "enemies from within," as he criticized "crooked" Joe Biden.

While addressing a crowd of supporters in Wildwood, New Jersey, Saturday, he said “Joe is weak. He’s only good at cheating on elections – but it’s not him, he’s surrounded by fascists around the Oval Office."

"The Democrat Party is becoming radicalized. It’s becoming radical left and they’re going to lose our country."

Without naming names, Trump said the administration’s “enemies from within” are more dangerous for America than foreign adversaries, claiming that "Russia and China we can handle, but these lunatics within our government that are going to destroy our country and probably want to."

Trump has 'dictatorial' tendencies

High-profile Biden supporters have also labeled Trump as "fascist," with some Democrats suggesting that his return to the White House could potentially steer the country toward dictatorship.

Hillary Clinton, Trump’s opponent in the 2016 presidential election, called Donald Trump a "wannabe strongman" who aims to annihilate his political rivals earlier in April.

“Putin does what [Trump] would like to do – kill his opposition, imprison his opposition, drive journalists and others into exile, rule without any check or balance,” she said. “That’s what Trump really wants.”

Additionally, Trump's New Jersey rally provided a change of scenery for the former president, who has been occupied with attending court hearings in New York. He faces charges of using campaign funds to pay hush money to former adult star Stormy Daniels and is confronted with numerous charges across four separate criminal cases.

He told supporters that “radical left Democrats, Marxists Communists, and fascists” were behind the indictments, calling his New York hush money case “a Biden show trial.”
