State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller announced that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will embark on a new Middle East trip this week, claiming that US President Joe Biden aims to establish "urgent mechanisms" to de-escalate regional tensions surrounding the war on Gaza,

"Secretary Blinken will travel to Israel on Friday for meetings with members of the Israeli government, and then will make other stops in the region," State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said, without providing further details.

The White House later announced that President Biden had a conversation with the leader of Jordan, a significant ally of the United States, on Tuesday. This discussion occurred as Secretary of State Blinken has made several trips to Jordan since October 7.

Biden and King Abdullah II "talked about immediate measures to mitigate violence, de-escalate rhetoric, and decrease tensions in the region," as claimed by the White House.

The statement further mentioned that both leaders "agreed that it is critical to ensure that Palestinians are not forcibly displaced outside of Gaza" and that Biden had "confirmed unwavering US support for Jordan and His Majesty's leadership."

This is Blinken’s second visit in less than a month as the US continues to funnel in weapons for the occupation forces to use against the people of Gaza. The US has also sent two aircraft carriers to the Eastern Mediterranean, which is evidence of its unconditional support to the occupation government that has murdered at least 4,830 children since October 7.

It's important to highlight that numerous peace activists disrupted a Senate hearing last night where Secretary of State Antony Blinken was speaking. They were calling for an immediate Gaza ceasefire.

The US not only sent batches of lethal weapons and billions of dollars to its proxy in West Asia but also deployed US soldiers to assist "Israel" in its brutal aggression against Palestinians. Christopher P. Maier, an assistant secretary of defense, reportedly stated at a Washington conference, “We’re actively helping the Israelis to do a number of things.”
