Body of missing Zionist emissary found in UAE
A body is found in the UAE during searches for Rabbi Zvi Kogan, who has been missing since Thursday, according to Israeli media.
In a joint statement, the Israeli Prime Minister's office and Foreign Ministry reported that Emirati authorities found the body of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, which has been missing since Thursday.
The occupation government described the incident as “a despicable antisemitic act of terror” and pledged to use all available means to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Since the UAE and "Israel" normalized ties in late 2020, Kogan has served as a representative of Chabad, a Zionist organization that allegedly provides services to Jewish residents and visitors in the Gulf region.
In response to the incident, the Israeli Security Council warned against traveling to the UAE, due to what it described as "a threat against Israel and Jews in the country," issuing a Level 3 travel warning, which means that all unnecessary travel should be avoided.
“Avoid visiting businesses, gathering places, and entertainment venues identified with the Israeli and Jewish population,” said the warning.
“Maintain increased vigilance in public places (including restaurants, hotels, bars, etc.). Avoid displaying Israeli symbols. Cooperate with local security forces, follow their instructions, and immediately report it if you have been exposed to terror activity.”
Travelers are also urged to avoid posting on social media and to lock their profiles online.
Further details about the incident have not been revealed as of yet.
Likewise, the Israeli "National Security Council" raised the travel warning for Thailand to Level 2, nearly two weeks after an initial warning cited “the emergence of a potential threat to Israelis in the country.”
The warning comes after a November 12 warning calling on Israelis to display increased vigilance, thus raising the warning now “in light of the persistence of the threat.”
The killing and travel warnings come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East because of "Israel's" genocide in Gaza and its continued massacres.
Last week, Israeli media reported a new phenomenon affecting Israelis, where they are increasingly "unwelcome in Europe."
Channel 12 News stated that more Israelis in Europe are booking hotels, only to later receive a statement from the hotel indicating that they are not welcome because people across Europe are beginning to hold Israelis accountable for the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The channel highlighted a case in Italy, where a hotel in the north of the country refused a booking made by several Israelis. Those who booked online received the following message:
"Good morning, we inform you that Israelis, being responsible for genocide, are not welcome as guests in our hotel. If you wish to cancel your booking, we will gladly do so and offer you a free cancellation."
