Former UK PM Johnson demands $1 mil for interview with Tucker Carlson
Tucker Carlson says ex-UK PM Boris Johnson demanded $1 million for an interview with Carlson to counter Putin's.
Following American journalist Tucker Carlson's interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Carlson revealed that for an interview with the UK's Boris Johnson, the former prime minister demanded a one million dollar fee.
In an interview with Blaze TV founder Glenn Beck about his experience on conversing with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Carlson said that when the interview with Putin was revealed, Boris Johnson immediately denounced and slammed Carlson as a "tool for the Kremlin".
Carlson then tried to contact Johnson for an interview to discuss his view on the Ukrainian war, who in turn agreed but on one condition: a million dollars.
"Finally an advisor gets back to me and said, ‘He will talk to you, but it’s going to cost you a million dollars.’ He wants a million in US dollars, gold, or bitcoin – this just happened yesterday or two days ago!" Carlson said.
He compared the former official to Putin, who did not demand a sum even as close. "So you’re telling me that Boris Johnson is a lot sleazier, a lot lower than Vladimir Putin? So this whole thing is a freaking shakedown," he said.

Boris pops a vein
The former prime minister had badgered Carlson following his interview with Putin.
"When Tucker Carlson went to the Kremlin, he had a function well-known to history. He was to be the stooge of the tyrant, the dictaphone to the dictator, and a traitor to journalism," Boris said, condemning Carlson's "failure" to press Putin on the war in Ukraine.
At the World Government Summit in Dubai, Carlson spoke with TV presenter Emad Eldin Adeeb about his two-hour interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
The US journalist and former Fox TV host answered why certain topics were not discussed during the interview, how the US establishment reacted to it, and why the US continues failing to understand Russia.
However, he claimed as well that he conducted an off-the-record conversation with Putin after their interview, but refused to reveal what was said.
