Brazil's Bolsonaro cancels meeting with Portuguese President
The Brazilian President's agenda for the day of the visit only includes working meetings with a member of the administration and the governor.
According to Brazilian media, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has declined to meet with his Portuguese counterpart, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, on his trip to South America due to the Portuguese leader's plans to meet with former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
Rebelo de Sousa is set to arrive in Brazil on Saturday and meet with former Brazilian President Lula da Silva on Sunday. According to Antagonista news outlet, far-right Bolsonaro was outraged by this information and directed the Foreign Ministry to cancel the meeting with Rebelo de Sousa at Palacio Planalto.
