Captive movement closes all sections in occupation prisons
The captive movement in Palestine decides to close all sections in all occupation prisons, threatening escalatatory measures if the occupation does not reverse its punitive measures against the prisoners.
The Palestinian Prisoners Information Office reported Thursday that the prisoner movement decided to close all sections in all Israeli occupation prisons.
The office added that this step came in protest against the reduction of the number of prisoners allowed in the "Fora", which is the prisoners' courtyard.
The office also quoted the movement as saying that "in the event that the occupation prisons administration does not retreat from its punitive measures, we will take further escalatory steps in the coming hours." The office stated that the atmosphere is still tense in the occupation prisons.
It is noteworthy that a few days ago, the prisoner movement announced that the Israeli occupation prisons administration is retracting from agreements concluded after the Freedom Tunnel operation, pointing out that the prison administration is imposing new penalties on the prisoners.
Last Tuesday, the Prisoners Club announced that 60 prisoners were infected with Covid in section 12 of the "Nafha" prison, stressing that the prisons' administration's withholding information, in addition to refusing to conduct tests for the rest of prisoners, has obstructed the ability to round up the number of infected prisoners.
