Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the Israeli occupation must agree to a ceasefire and halt its aggression in the region if it hopes to mitigate the intensity of Iran's response to its recent attack.

Speaking at a Cabinet meeting on Sunday, President Pezeshkian criticized the double standards exhibited by the United States and European countries regarding the escalations in the region. He stated, "Today, all countries in the region have come to this conclusion that the Islamic Republic of Iran seeks to establish peace and stability while the criminal Zionist regime is seeking to exacerbate crisis and war in the region."

Commemorating the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance, the President emphasized that Iran has never initiated a war nor encouraged any country to engage in one. He pointed out that it has always been the United States that has sparked wars in various parts of the world, including in the Middle East. Today, he asserted, by supporting the occupation, the United States is further fueling the flames of war in the Middle East.

In his remarks, President Pezeshkian highlighted the brutalities and atrocities committed by the criminal occupation to incite war and bloodshed in the region. He noted that the Israeli occupation attempted to trigger escalations by assassinating former Hamas chief Martyr Ismail Haniyeh on the very first day of his presidential tenure. He further stated that the regime has continued its heinous acts and has extended its aggression to Lebanon.

He further emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not allow the recent aggression by the criminal occupation against its national sovereignty and territorial integrity to go unanswered, declaring, "They know very well that if they make any mistake against the Islamic Republic of Iran, they will receive a crushing response."

Linking the anticipated Iranian response to the ongoing aggression on Lebanon and Gaza, he affirmed, "If they [the Israelis] reconsider their behavior, accept the ceasefire, and stop the killing and massacring of the oppressed and innocent people of the region, it may affect the type and severity of our response."

In a related context, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Sayyed Ali Khamenei warned that the United States and the Israeli occupation will bear the consequences of their atrocities.

Speaking on National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance, which commemorates the anniversary of the US embassy takeover by Iranian students on November 4, 1979, Sayyed Khamenei warned of the crushing response Iran would deliver in retaliation to the crimes carried out against the Islamic Republic and the Resistance.

Sayyed Khamenei stressed that Iran's operations were not "revenge", but rather "a logical action, an approach aligned with religion, ethics, and Islamic Law, in accordance with international regulations," confirming that Iranian officials are constantly developing their political and military readiness to confront any hostility.

He further assured his audience that Iran will not leave any aggression unanswered.
