'Certain results achieved' by 100th day in Ukraine: Kremlin
According to Peskov, Russian FM Sergey Lavrov will discuss methods to ensure the safe transport of Ukrainian grain during his visit to Ankara.
The Kremlin said Friday that Russia's military effort in Ukraine had some results 100 days after Moscow launched its military operation.
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters that "certain results have been achieved" after he was asked about the first 100 days of the operation.
Regarding the protection of citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Peskov stated that "in terms of ensuring their protection, measures are being taken and certain results have been achieved," adding that "many settlements have been liberated from the pro-Nazi armed forces of Ukraine and directly from nationalist elements."
"The opportunity has been provided for people to start establishing a peaceful life," Peskov stated. "This work will continue until the time when all of the goals of the military operation are achieved."
Lavrov to discuss safe passage of Ukrainian grain in Ankara
Peskov also announced that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will discuss methods to ensure the safe transport of Ukrainian grain during his visit to Ankara.
Peskov disclosed to reporters that "next week, the foreign minister will indeed be in Turkey, he is scheduled to have contacts there. And of course, in continuation of the top-level phone conversation, the issue of Ukrainian grain will be high on the agenda."
Putin to meet with Senegalese President in Sochi
The Spokesperson also announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with Senegalese President Macky Sall, who is now the leader of the African Union, in Sochi to discuss preparations for the next Russia-Africa summit and food security concerns.

"The agenda is very, very important and detailed. This, of course, is Russian-African relations, many issues were outlined for in-depth cooperation during the Russia-Africa Sochi summit, we are talking about preparations for the next summit.
