Cham Wings runs its first flight from Damascus International Airport to Abu Dhabi International Airport in the UAE, which comes within expanding the Airline's external flights to neighboring countries, SANA reported.
“The step comes within the company’s expansion to reach external destinations, and arriving in Abu Dhabi comes to fulfill the travelers’ needs and activate the air and commercial routes in general between the two countries,” Business Development and Human Resources Manager at the Airlines, Osama Satea, said in a statement on Friday.
Satea added that the number of passengers amounted to 147 and stressed the importance of opening a direct line between Damascus and Abu Dhabi in terms of developing and enhancing exchange in the tourism, cultural, and commercial sectors.
For his part, a commercial director at the company, Hamdi Khalaf, explained that there will be another flight soon to Pakistan and an additional flight between Aleppo and Sharjah, thus increasing the number of flights to two per week.
