China, Russia voice concern over Syria, back stability efforts
China and Russia have both voiced their positions regarding the escalating tensions in Syria, emphasizing their respective support for stability and the Syrian government.
China has expressed concern over the situation in northwest Syria and affirmed its support for the Syrian government’s efforts to maintain national security and stability, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated on Monday.
"China is deeply concerned about the situation in northwest Syria and supports Syria's efforts to ensure national security and stability," Lin said during a press briefing.
On his part, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov reiterated Russia's continued support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad amid ongoing tensions in the region.
"Of course, we continue to support Bashar Assad," Peskov said during a Monday briefing, addressing the situation in Syria.
Peskov added that Russia is closely monitoring the developments and will determine its stance based on what is needed to stabilize the situation.
"We continue our contacts at the appropriate levels and analyze the situation. A position will be formed on what is needed to stabilize the situation," he stated.
Iran too reiterates full support for Syria
In a related context, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi visited Damascus, with the main message he conveyed to President Bashar al-Assad being Iran's "full support for Syria in facing this war with all available resources."
The Islamic Republic rejects this military action against the Syrian state, as it is a clear violation of the Astana agreements and a breach of peace and security within Syria and the region, our correspondent added.

Syrian Army repels militant groups' attack in Hama countryside
The Syrian Army, along with allied forces, successfully repelled a fierce attack by militant groups on the village of al-Fan al-Wustani, located northeast of Hama, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported on Monday.
Syrian and Russian warplanes targeted a convoy of militant groups in Khan Sheikhoun, Idlib countryside, with two airstrikes early this morning, our correspondent confirmed.
He clarified that the airstrikes had not stopped since last night and continued until dawn, clarifying that the focus was on the southern Idlib countryside and targeted the movements of militants in areas that the Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) terrorist group had entered, such as Khan Sheikhoun and Maaret al-Numan, where the Syrian Army clearly relies on airpower.
Our correspondent also noted that yesterday's strikes extended to the western Aleppo countryside and targeted militants near the al-Hamdaniyah stadium. He added that there were airstrikes on vehicles and movements of militant groups that had entered the city of Aleppo.
Additionally, the Syrian Army dealt with drone attacks in the northern Hama countryside, where several drones used by militants were shot down. These drones were extensively used during recent attacks on Aleppo, Saraqib, and Maaret al-Numan, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent.
Currently, efforts are underway to reinforce and support advanced front lines. Yesterday, the Syrian Chief of Staff visited the northern Hama front, which represents the primary contact line with militant groups in southern Idlib.
Our correspondent in Damascus said the Syrian Army is working to secure the towns of Taybat al-Imam, Halfaya, and Qalaat al-Madiq in the northern and northwestern countryside of Hama, adding that the Army is working to establish checkpoints and barriers in the towns it has recaptured in the area.
