China on military support to Russia: Not losing control in Ukraine is top priority
After the Washington Post quoted US officials as saying that Russia resorted to China for military equipment, China replied that its priority is to not allow the situation in Ukraine to spiral out of control.
The Chinese Embassy in the US has revealed that its main priority is to prevent the tense situation in Ukraine from getting out of control, in response to media reports that Moscow requested from Beijing military equipment since the start of the military operation.
This comes after the American newspaper The Washington Post quoted US officials as saying that "Russia turned to China to obtain military equipment and aid after the invasion of Ukraine."
The White House announced today, Sunday, that a US delegation headed by National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan will meet a Chinese delegation in the Italian capital, Rome, tomorrow, Monday, to discuss the Russian military operation in Ukraine.
