China supports Russia in matters of sovereignty, security: Jinping
Xi Jinping says China is willing to enhance cooperation with Russia within important international and regional organizations such as the UN, BRICS, and the SCO.
China is prepared to continue mutual assistance with Russia on matters of sovereignty and security, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Wednesday during a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
CCTV quoted the Chinese President as saying, "China is ready to continue to support each other with Russia on critical issues such as sovereignty and security, and strengthen strategic cooperation between the two countries."
Xi Jinping also stated that China is willing to enhance cooperation with Russia within important international and regional organizations such as the UN, BRICS, and the SCO.

Xi advised Putin that all parties involved must work together to resolve the Ukrainian situation.
Despite global developments, Sino-Russian relations remain strong, according to him.
He affirmed that "since the beginning of this year, despite global changes and instability in the world, Sino-Russian relations have maintained a good momentum of development."
Economic and trade cooperation between the nations was showing "strong development", according to Jinping while detailing that the launch of the Blagoveshchensk-Heihe bridge opened new communication channels between the two countries.
"The Chinese side is ready to cooperate with the Russian side to ensure the stable and long-term development of bilateral business cooperation," he stated.
