Code Pink hunger strike calls for ending US arms to 'Israel'
The aim is to halt the supply of US weapons to "Israel" and to advocate for a ceasefire.
A representative from the grassroots organization Code Pink announced on Friday that it will launch a hunger strike in Congress starting Tuesday next week.
The aim is to halt the supply of US weapons to "Israel" and to advocate for a ceasefire, as stated by Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin.
"One of our members is starting a hunger strike next week in Congress (starting on Tuesday), calling for Congress to stop sending weapons to Israel and to call for a ceasefire," Benjamin said.
Think about this. During the Great March Of Return in Gaza in 2018, when PEACEFUL Palestinians protesting their plight were gunned down by Israelis week after week, we couldn’t get ONE member of Congress to speak out. pic.twitter.com/DnXzHfi11X
