Colombia: Alleged Orchestrator of Attack on President Duque Arrested
The Colombian Defense Minister announces the arrest of the alleged orchestrator of the assassination attempt on the President on June 25.
Colombian Defense Minister Diego Molano announced that his country's national security services were able to arrest the alleged organizer of the attack that targeted President Ivan Duque.
In a tweet, Molano mentioned that the Colombian security forces tracked down Aurelio, the alleged organizer of the attack on Duque's helicopter on June 25 in the city of Cúcuta, and arrested him in a special operation.

Aurelio belongs to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia that are behind the attack on the Colombian President.
On June 25, a military helicopter carrying the President, the Defense Minister, and the Interior Minister came under fire by unidentified gunmen.
Although 6 bullets hit the helicopter, the attack did not result in casualties among the passengers.
