Cuba warns against sustained US-UK aggression on Yemen
The US and the UK have been launching airstrikes on Yemen to protect the interests of the Israeli occupation.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez issued Tuesday a stark warning regarding the ongoing bombings by the United States and its allies on Yemen, cautioning that these actions could further escalate regional tensions.
Rodriguez emphasized the necessity of addressing the root causes of the region's instability, stating, "We insist that the only way to end the conflict is by halting the Israeli genocide in Gaza and establishing a Palestinian state."
The minister's comments reiterate Cuba's stance on the Middle East, advocating for the cessation of violence in Gaza and underlining that the only way to achieve calm in the region is by establishing a Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders.

Cuba has always been a strong supporter of Palestinian rights and sovereignty. After the Gaza war broke out, President Miguel Diaz-Canel led a popular march of thousands of Cubans along central Malecon Street to express their support for the Palestinian cause and condemn the crimes of the Israeli occupation.
Moreover, Cuba also joined South Africa's genocide case against "Israel" at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) as a Third State, joining Nicaragua, Colombia, Libya, Maldives, Egypt, Ireland, Belgium, Turkiye, and Chile.
The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its "unwavering and sustained commitment to supporting and contributing as much as possible to legitimate international efforts to put an end to the genocide committed against the Palestinian people."
The statement further affirmed that genocide, apartheid, forced displacement, and collective punishment do not belong in the modern world and must be rejected by the international community.
