The 9th trilateral summit will be held on Monday between the Israeli occupation, Greece, and Cyprus to discuss military, security, and energy cooperation.

The meeting will be hosted by Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides in the country's capital Nicosia, and will be attended by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Netanyahu arrived in Nicosia on Sunday and held behind-closed-doors discussions with Christodoulides ahead of the tripartite summit.

This is the second meeting between the two since the Cypriot president came to office earlier this year, which according to Christodoulides reflects the "strategic partnership of two like-minded democracies in the eastern Mediterranean”.

In May, during Christodoulides' visit to meet with Netanyahu, the Israeli occupation and Cyprus agreed to build a natural gas pipeline to deliver Palestinian stolen gas to Cyprus and then to Europe.

According to the Israeli occupation's premier, this project would grant Europe access to cheap gas and would reciprocally strengthen the entity's standing.

EuroAsia Interconnector, a Cyprus-based firm, announced in July that it had granted a substantial 1.43 billion euro contract to the French company Nexans. This contract is for the installation of a submarine electricity cable, is intended to interconnect the electrical grids of Cyprus, Greece, and the occupation entity.

Military ties between Nikos and "Tel Aviv" have grown exponentially in recent years, acting as a destabilizing factor in the region.

The armies of the Israeli occupation and Cyprus have conducted a number of multi-field military exercises since 2021, all of which "Tel Aviv" publicly declared were are a simulation of a war on Lebanon.

After objections from the Lebanese government, which included the summoning of the Cypriot ambassador, Nicolas claimed that the drills were not directed "against any other country in the region."
