Day 109: 25,490 martyred, 63,345 injured in Gaza
The Health Ministry in Gaza says many Palestinians are trapped under the debris and rescuers are unable to reach them.
The Health Ministry in Gaza released a statement today announcing that the number of Palestinians killed by "Israel" in its ongoing genocidal war on the Strip since October 7 surged to 25,490, in addition to 63,345 injuries.
The Ministry emphasized that the IOF committed 22 massacres across the Gaza Strip, murdering 195 Palestinians and wounding 354 others.
“Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads and rescuers can’t reach them,” the statement added.
According to the UN, about 85% of Gazans have been deliberately displaced by the occupation as it continues to starve them. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have no shelter, and less than half of aid trucks can enter the territory, knowing that in several instances, Israeli occupation forces opened fire and targeted those seeking aid and others who were distributing it.
UN: 'Israel' is intentionally starving Gazans
UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food Michael Fakhri warned on social media yesterday that "Israel" is intentionally starving Gazans and destroying its food system, describing the occupation's deliberate starvation of Palestinians as "unprecedented".
“It’s unprecedented to make an entire civilian population go hungry this completely and quickly. Israel is destroying Gaza’s food system. Israel is intentionally imposing a high rate of disease, prolonged malnutrition, dehydration, and starvation by destroying civilian infrastructure," he said.
The UN revealed in a report last week that Gazans now make up 80 percent of all people facing famine or catastrophic hunger worldwide in what UN human rights experts categorized as an “unparalleled humanitarian crisis.”
“Currently every single person in Gaza is hungry, a quarter of the population are starving and struggling to find food and drinkable water, and famine is imminent,” the report said, while also voicing concerns over pregnant women as they are not receiving nutrition and healthcare.
Hospitals, schools, and homes: IOF's main target
Yesterday morning, Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids on several areas in Gaza targeting mainly the west of Gaza and Khan Younis. They bombed houses in al-Bureij camp, causing severe destruction to property and injuring many Palestinians. In parallel, the occupation initiated continuous incursions in the east of Gaza.
Israeli warplanes also opened fire on areas between Khan Younis and Rafah while continuously artillery shelling Khan Younis.
Local news sources have reported that alongside the Israeli bombing on Khan Younis that destroyed Palestinian homes, an Israeli quadcopter opened fire on Palestinians west of the area and in the vicinity of Al-Nasser Medical Complex.
In addition to the continuous bombing of the Complex, the latter is fully surrounded by the IOF from three sides, knowing that the hospital is only 1 kilometer away from Al-Amal Hospital.
The occupation also bombed the east of al-Tuffah neighborhood and al-Daraj in Gaza.
The Euro-Med Monitor confirmed that the occupation forces are continuously escalating the policy of starvation and humanitarian aid prevention in Gaza, using hunger as a weapon to forcibly displace Palestinians attempting to avoid death by bombing or starvation.
In a report marking the 100th day of the aggression, the Euro-med Monitor reported that about 100,000 Palestinians were martyred, missing, or wounded, saying that “Israel committed horrific war crimes, with a casualty toll of about 1,000 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip every day, the bloodiest statistic in the modern history of wars."
