Death of Israeli Yamam soldier injured during Jenin confrontations
The IOF announced the death of one of its soldiers after the confrontations that took place in Jenin this morning.
The Israeli occupation announced the death of an Israeli officer from the Yamam unit after he was shot during the Jenin confrontations.
The Israeli occupation forces attempted to storm the camp and arrest Mahmoud Al-Dabaii. Palestinian Jenin Brigades countered the invading force in the vicinity of Al-Dabaii's residence. During the confrontations that ensued the Israeli officer was severely injured and taken to Rambam hospital in Haifa where he was later declared dead.
The 47-year-old Yamam officer was previously part of hundreds of military raids and operations that targeted Palestinians throughout the years. He resided in the Kida settlement and in 1999 enlisted in the Yamam unit, a Special Forces unit in the Israeli Border Guards, which in turn is part of the Israeli Occupation Police. He has since served in the IOF as a sniper, medic, and soldier.
The Jenine Brigade had declared that its members had targeted the IOF storming the camp.
On Friday morning, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Jenin reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed the Jenin refugee camp and the town of Burqin, revealing that heavy shooting was heard.
Occupation forces were stationed at the western entrance of the refugee camp - the place where they assassinated journalist Shireen Abu Akleh on Wednesday.

Our correspondent spoke of violent confrontations at the entrances to and inside Jenin refugee camp, while young Palestinians resisted the occupation forces who stormed the city and were firing heavily in the area.
Furthermore, Israeli occupation forces surrounded the home of Mahmoud Al-Dabaii, who is a member of the Jenin Brigades, in the Al-Hadaf area of the camp, demanding that he surrender. While getting Al-Dabaii to surrender, the IOF held his mother hostage as a human shield.
Occupation forces also prevented ambulance crews from entering the targeting area; activists on Twitter reported that occupation soldiers are detaining ambulance officers in Al-Hadaf .
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that there are attempts to arrest two brothers and ex-prisoners from the Al-Dabaii family, in addition to attempts to besiege the family home.
In addition, occupation forces fired 40 mm rifle grenades at Al-Dabaii's house in the camp to force him to surrender.
The IOF are hunting Palestinians trying to aid resistance fighters from Al-Dabaii’s family in Jenin.
Following the heavy attacks and the use of his mother as a human shield, Anas Al-Dabaii surrendered himself to the Israeli occupation forces.
Moreover, the IOF had brought a bulldozer into the refugee camp with the aim of destroying and bulldozing Palestinian houses.
