Today, Thursday, the mother of the Palestinian prisoner in the Israeli occupation prisons, Karim Younes, died at the age of 90.
Since Younes was captured in 1983, Sabiha Younes long waited for her son till she passed away. He was expected to be released on January 5, 2023.
Hamas offered its condolences to the prisoner and said in a statement that the Palestinian mother, Hajja Um Karim, who waited for long, agonizing, tearful years to see her son, who spent nearly 40 years in the occupation prison, is a clear embodiment of the human suffering the Palestinians go through daily as a result of injustice.
A 40-year-old dream that was never fulfilled.

On its part, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine pointed out that Hajja Younis' death without being able to see her son in front of her eyes highlights the extent of the Israeli occupation's brutality.
Prisoner Younis, born in 1958 in the village of Ara, was arrested by the occupation forces at the age of 23 and was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
