Defense chiefs from 35 states to join Moscow security forum: Ministry
The Tenth Moscow Conference on International Security will take place on August 16 at Patriot Park outside the Russian capital.
At least 35 defense ministers from various countries have confirmed their participation in the upcoming 10th Moscow Conference on International Security, according to Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin.
"To date, the defense ministers of 35 countries have confirmed their participation in the conference, both in person and via videoconference, specifically 25 in person, 10 via videoconference,” Fomin said at a briefing for foreign military attaches.
Fomin reported that eight chiefs of general staff and deputy defense ministers, as well as six international organizations, have confirmed their participation.

He also stated that the security conference will be held concurrently with the Army 2022 International Defense Industry Forum and the International Army Games 2022 for the first time this year.
"This will allow delegations to take part in three major international events at once, united by place and time," Fomin added.
The Moscow Conference on International Security, an annual forum hosted by the Russian Defense Ministry to discuss pressing issues and trends on the international military agenda, will kick off on August 16 this year. Since 2012, it has become one of the most reputable international discussion platforms, surpassing similar events held in other countries in terms of its scale and the number of participants.
Participants have focused on the most pressing issues over the years, such as the security situation in the Middle East and North Africa, the phenomenon of color revolutions, ways to combat international terrorism, Syria, and the fight against ISIS.
