Details of Iran's IRGC attack on terrorists in Pakistan revealed: IRNA
The official Iranian news agency has released important details on the IRGC's operation against Jaish ul-Adl training camps.
New details of the Iranian operation against Jaish ul-Adl terrorists in Pakistan were revealed by the official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Friday.
The operation, launched by the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) on January 16, targeted a Jaish ul-Adl training camp in the uninhabited area in the mountainous ranges of Pakistan's Balochistan province, according to IRNA. Jaish ul-Adl had planned to launch wide-scale terror attacks on the eastern Iranian areas, which border Pakistan, the news agency reported.
Iranian security forces monitored the terror group's activities, which allowed the IRGC to eliminate a number of terrorist organization's forces, as well as destroy their military capabilities, in a coordinated missile and drone attack.
The attack followed a series of strikes against Iran's enemies at midnight of the same day, in which the IRGC launched long and medium-range missile attacks on targets in Iraqi Kurdistan and Syria's Idlib Governate.
Iran's IRGC launched operations against Mossad agents in Iraq, ISIS operatives in Syria, and Jaish ul-Adl headquarters in Pakistan, which culminated in an all-encompassing stern response to entities and terror groups that have planned on attacking or attacking Iran recently.

Pakistan to resolve crisis with Iran
The attack on terror cells in the Balochistan province resulted in short-lived diplomatic turmoil, between Iran and Pakistan. Islamabad recalled its Ambassador from Iran and expelled the Iranian Ambassador on January 17, marking an escalation on diplomatic levels.
The country also promised to respond to the operation and launched an aggression on Iran, in what it said was an attack on Jaish ul-Adl operatives in Iran.
However, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it respects Tehran's sovereignty, adding that the "sole objective of today's act was in pursuit of Pakistan’s own security and national interest."
More recently, on Friday, Pakistani broadcaster, Geo TV, said the country had decided to end the standoff with Iran, adding that Islamabad has also approved the re-establishment of full diplomatic relations with Iran.
This key development was preceded by an extraordinary session of the country's Cabinet Committee on National Security on the escalation of tensions with Iran.
Caretaker Prime Minister, Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, who cut short his visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos due to the recent events, will chair the meeting, according to what interim Information Minister, Murtaza Solangi, told the local Dawn newspaper.
