Direct confrontations between Resistance, Israelis in South Lebanon
Hezbollah announces carrying out a number of operations targeting Israeli military bases across the Lebanese-Palestinian border and confirms direct hits.
In a rare escalation, heavily armed confrontations erupted on Thursday evening between Islamic Resistance fighters from Lebanon and Israeli occupation forces stationed in the "Misgav Am" military base, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in southern Lebanon reported.
The confrontations, which lasted for over 30 minutes, come as operations against Israeli bases in northern occupied Palestine in support of Gaza expand in both nature and volume.
Commenting on the events, Israeli media said Hezbollah's operations today are more intense than the past few days, noting that as per the latest estimates, the Islamic Resistance launched a total of eight ATGMs today, in addition to heavy use of machineguns in the operations.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced in a statement that, as part of the continued support to Palestinians, the Resistance in Lebanon attacked several Israeli targets in northern occupied Palestine.

The Resistance announced carrying out two operations in separate statements. In the first operation, the Resistance fighters targeted two Merkava tanks in the "Metulla" Israeli base using guided missiles, confirming that the tanks' crews were either killed or wounded in the process. In the other, an Israeli infantry force in the occupied Lebanese town of Tarbikha came under attack, also confirming direct hits.
On that note, the Israeli bombing of the outskirts of the towns of Kfar Kila and Deir Mimas stopped following Hezbollah's targeting of "Metulla".
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in southern Lebanon reported that fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted an Israeli military base in the occupied Lebanese Hounin Valley, as well as "Misgav Am" and "Shtula" military bases, in addition to the "Zarit" barracks.

The "Misgav Am" military outpost in particular came under heavy constant fire, our correspondent said, adding that the Resistance operations are concentrated in the central and eastern sectors of northern occupied Palestine.
On the other hand, the correspondent indicated that the Israeli occupation bombed the outskirts of the Lebanese town of al-Hebbariyeh, adding that Israeli bombing was renewed on the outskirts of the towns of Ramya and Beit Lif.
