Doctor that left al-Shifa Hosp.: Bodies on the ground everywhere
A doctor that was forced to exit al-Shifa Hospital Complex tells Al Mayadeen the horrors left in the wake of the Israeli occupation's takeover of the hospital.
Doctor Khaled Abou Samra confirmed to Al Mayadeen that the Israeli occupation arrested the director of al-Shifa Medical Complex, Muhammad Abu Salmiya, as well as a number of medical personnel.
Abou Samra was present at al-Shifa Hospital until yesterday evening, when the Israeli occupation forced those in the hospital to exit and leave.
On his way out, he explained that he saw bodies lying on the ground throughout the walkway, and that the Israeli Occupation Forces detained the doctors alongside the sick and wounded at a checkpoint and kept them there for about seven hours.

According to Abou Samra, the exit from the hospital was very difficult, as doctors were forced to fit 260 patients into 14 ambulances. The patients were stacked in ambulances and doctors had to improvise to treat wounds by mixing vinegar and sugar.
Meanwhile, the doctor stressed, the occupation forces conducted thorough inspections of children and women.
Earlier, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced that the convoy evacuating the injured from Al-Shifa Hospital did not move for hours at the checkpoint separating northern and southern Gaza, as the occupation soldiers were obstructing passage and conducting a thorough inspection of ambulance vehicles, endangering the lives of the wounded and ill.
He added that the occupation forces have been detaining three paramedics from the evacuation convoy and one of the escorts for three hours, forcing them to stay out in the cold.
Moreover, Al Mayadeen's correspondent stressed that the occupation forced all patients and displaced people in the Indonesian Hospital to evacuate because the IOF had plans to raid it.
