The Israeli occupation continues its relentless airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, killing at least 15 Palestinians, including several civilians who were searching for humanitarian aid, amid mounting international warnings about the accelerating humanitarian catastrophe.
According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Gaza, strikes targeted multiple areas on Friday, with a particularly deadly bombing hitting a group of Palestinians waiting for aid near the eastern al-Matahen area in Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza. The attack killed 9 people, who were taken to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
Al-Shifa Medical Complex reported the martyrdom of four Palestinians in separate attacks, including individuals who had been searching for humanitarian relief.
In another incident, at least 13 Palestinians were wounded, most of them while waiting for aid near the Netzarim checkpoint in central Gaza, according to al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat.
An Al Mayadeen correspondent also confirmed casualties from an Israeli airstrike on al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City. Separately, Israeli warplanes targeted civilians gathered in the Sudanese area in northern Gaza while they waited for humanitarian aid, resulting in more deaths and injuries.
Earlier today, the United Nations issued a sharp criticism of the so-called “Gaza Relief Foundation,” which is backed by Washington and the Israeli regime, saying the initiative has failed to deliver on its humanitarian promises.
The escalation comes amid growing calls from international humanitarian agencies for urgent ceasefires and safe corridors, as famine and disease threaten the besieged population in the strip.
Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip killed 103 Palestinians and wounded 427 others in 24 hours, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Friday, as the humanitarian crisis in the besieged territory deepens.
Emergency crews continue to face severe obstacles in reaching victims, with many bodies still trapped under rubble or lying in the streets, inaccessible due to ongoing bombardment and destroyed infrastructure.
The total death toll since the start of the Israeli assault on October 7, 2023, has now reached a staggering 55,207, with 127,821 people wounded, according to official figures.
Since March 18, 2025, 4,924 Palestinians have been killed and 15,780 others have been injured, marking an escalation in the intensity and scope of the attacks.
