Dozens of settlers storm Burnat site in Nablus
Israeli settlers storm the archaeological site of Burnat site in Nablus with the intention of holding "Passover" rituals.
A Palestinian official reported that dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the historical Burnat site in Nablus, occupied West Bank.
Local Palestinian agency WAFA quoted Ghassan Daghlas, an official in charge of the settlement file in the northern West Bank, as saying that “dozens of settlers stormed the Burnat site, as part of their celebration of the Jewish Passover holiday."
"The Israeli settlers claim that there is an altar on the top of Jabal Aybal, in an attempt to impose a fait accompli for their settlement ambitions," Daghlas continued, emphasizing that "they have tried more than once to establish a settlement outpost in the area, but the Palestinians confronted their attempts."
Earlier, Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that Israeli settlers, backed by heavily armed Israeli occupation forces, entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards in occupied Al-Quds, making provocative tours for the fourth day in a row.
