Due to significant damage, 'Israel' mulling restricting cabinet news
"Israel's" National Security Advisor urgently requests limiting the publication of news, particularly those related to cabinet deliberations.
Israeli media reports suggest that they may face restrictions on news reporting, especially those related to the deliberations of the Israeli cabinet during the ongoing aggression on Gaza and the war with the Palestinian Resistance.
The media mentioned that the Israeli occupation's National Security Advisor, Tzachi Hanegbi, urgently sent a letter to Israeli Military Censor Brigadier General Kobi Mandelblit, requesting to limit the publication of news, particularly those related to cabinet deliberations during the war, due to the significant harm it causes. In his letter, Hanegbi explained that the flood of news about cabinet discussions causes immediate and significant damage to "Israel's national security," emphasizing the need to stop it immediately.
On Friday, the Israeli occupation government had approved emergency regulations to shut down broadcasting stations that "endanger Israel's security." According to the Israeli website Walla News, after strenuous efforts by Minister of Communications Shlomo Karhi and his office, with the support of Mossad, Shin Bet, and the Ministry of Security, the Israeli occupation government approved regulations that would allow the suspension of the activity of local and foreign media outlets that "harm Israel's security" during the war.
This comes in the context of clear Israeli efforts to prevent and block the truth from reaching public opinion, covering up the crimes and massacres committed against Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. The Israeli Channel 12 had previously spoken about the Israeli occupation trying to engage in a "battle for global public opinion," suggesting that the world "will witness an increase in demonstrations against Israel."
In the same context, the former commander of the Northern Corps in the Israeli military, Eyal Ben-Reuven, considered in an interview with Channel 13 that the occupation military's media capacity is now a "test, and so far we have not succeeded in it." Ben-Reuven stressed the need to "market the Israeli image," noting that the Israeli military should display all images through the Israeli Foreign Ministry or any other platform to attempt to confirm the Israeli narrative.
Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7, following the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, "Israel" has been trying to influence public opinion by disseminating a false narrative that its hostilities are in response to the Palestinian Resistance's actions. However, the Resistance announced that it primarily launched its operation in response to the recent escalation of Israeli aggression, particularly against al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian prisoners.
The Israeli occupation intentionally justifies its targeting of civilians by claiming it is aiming at Palestinian Resistance facilities in Gaza and by falsely claiming to warn Palestinians to evacuate their homes before strikes. Nevertheless, the reality on the ground has proven otherwise, with thousands of casualties, the majority of whom are children and women.
