Era of guardianship over Yemen is over: Sanaa MoD
The Minister of Defense of the Sanaa government warned the leaders of the aggression that any violation of the agreements would put them in endless predicaments.
The Minister of Defense in the Sanaa government, Major General Muhammad Al-Atefi, announced that "the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab are exclusively Yemeni regions," adding that the Yemeni forces are able to secure maritime navigation there.
During a visit to the stationed members of the Fifth Military Region in the axes of Al-Tuhayta, Al-Faza, Al-Hima Al-Sahili, and Al-Jarrahi on the West Coast, Al-Atefi said that "the situation is headed towards stabilization."
He added that the ultimate objective is to reach a comprehensive peace process: which is contingent upon the sincerity of the leaders of the aggression coalition, by keeping their end of the deal with what was agreed upon with the "revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council,": noting that it would be best for the people of the region and suiting of their interests.
Al-Atefi also warned the leaders of the aggression coalition against any maneuvers that would nullify the peace talks: noting "any violation or evasion of any agreement or understanding will result in losses for them and will put them in endless predicaments."
"They [the leaders of the aggression coalition] must learn from previous lessons, because our guns, cannons, missiles, and soldiers are ready, and they must acknowledge that the next war will not be inside Yemen as they imagine, but will be deep within the territories of the aggressor countries, which will acquaint them with the meaning of great pain."
"What is happening today in terms of talks with the countries of aggression and what is proposed by the revolutionary leadership represented by Seyed [Abdul-Malik] Al-Houthi, prioritizes the interest of the Yemeni people and lays firm the foundations for security and stability in Yemen and the region."
"The era of guardianship over Yemen is long gone" the minister concluded.

Yesterday, the Head of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen, Mahdi Al-Mashat, accused "the United States of seeking to obstruct peace efforts and does not want to resolve the humanitarian files."
In regards to talks with Saudi Arabia, Al-Mashat said, "During the negotiations with Omani mediation, we adhered to the legitimate rights of our people to freedom and independence, and their [Saudi Arabia's] obligation to stop the aggression, lift the siege and pledge compensations in return for revenues made from appropriated Yemeni wealth."
"The eight years of aggression have brought nothing but ruin and destruction to Yemen and the region, and the consequent destabilization," he added.
