Erdogan: 'Israel' will 'outshine Hitler' for Gaza atrocities
The Turkish President will also call Pope Francis soon to discuss “immorality committed against the Christian world," referring to the parody at the Paris Olympics.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday said that "Israel" has carried out an atrocity that will “outshine Hitler” as Gaza has become the “world’s largest extermination camp."
During his speech in Ankara, Erdogan said, "Western leaders and organizations whose duty is to ensure international security have only watched this brutality from afar for almost 300 days," adding, “How many more children need to die to see that Israel's invasive policies endanger the entire region? Look, this is not a path that can continue."
He also called to stop "Israel’s" “brutality and barbarism immediately, before it’s too late," stating that it gains its "security" through “aggression, massacres, and land seizure,” like a “terrorist organization".
"The lawless Israeli state is a threat not only to Palestine and Lebanon but to humanity as a whole, to the entire world at this point," Erdogan noted.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry on Monday mirrored Erdogan's statement, saying, "Just as the end of the genocidal Hitler came, so too will be the end of the genocidal [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu."
Erdogan threatened the Israeli regime on Sunday that Turkey would send forces to occupied Palestine to support the Palestinian people. “We must be very strong so that Israel can’t do these things to Palestine,” he said, referring to the Israeli ongoing genocide in Gaza.
Directly after his statement, top Israeli officials went hysteric, even threatening the Turkish President that he would face the same fate as former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
It is worth mentioning that back in December, Erdogan said there is "no distinction" between Netanyahu's actions in the attacks on Gaza and the deeds of Hitler. "How do you [Netanyahu] differ from Hitler? These [actions] will make us look for Hitler as well," he said then. "Is there anything Netanyahu does that is less than Hitler? No."
On another note, Erdogan spoke of the Paris Olympics, saying that he would call Pope Francis soon to discuss “immorality committed against the Christian world."
“Disgraceful scene in Paris offended not only the Catholic world, not only the Christian world, but also us as much as them,” Erdogan said, stressing, “Immorality displayed at opening of the Paris Olympics once again highlighted the scale of the threat we face."
Paris Olympics spokesperson Anne Descamps apologized on Sunday for the insult caused by the drag mockery of Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper" performed at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
