EU calls for end of settler violence in Sheikh Jarrah
The European Union called to stop the settlers' violence in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Al-Quds.
The European Union called on "Israel" to stop settler violence in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Al-Quds, warning against "irresponsible provocations" in what they described as a "sensitive area."
This came in a statement by the European Union mission in the occupied Palestinian territories, which was published this evening, Sunday, on its account on Facebook.
The statement said that the EU is "concerned about ongoing developments in Sheikh Jarrah, East Jerusalem [Al-Quds], with violent clashes leading to several injured and arrests."
The statement on Facebook warned that "Incidents of settler violence, irresponsible provocations and other escalatory acts in this sensitive area only fuel further tensions and must cease."
The Israeli occupation forces continue their attacks on the residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood to expel them from their homes, while the residents assert that they are determined to defend their land despite the attacks of the occupation and its settlers.
