One of the testimonies documented by Euro-Med is that of the 21-year-old Palestinian boy Ramadan Shamlakh from the al-Zaytoun Neighborhood in Gaza.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor documented how Israeli occupation forces have been abusing and torturing Palestinians in what it labeled as, sadistic ways, by inflicting mental and physical harm and leaving severe bruises on their bodies. The IOF has been committing the latter while storming Palestinians' homes, and shelters, on the streets and forced evacuation corridors with no justification.

The above-mentioned falls under the crime of genocide that "Israel" has been committing against Palestinians in Gaza since October 7, the Monitor stated.

The Monitor confirmed in its statement that it has received shocking testimonies adding that it has interviewed Palestinians personally who were sadistically tortured during their detention or investigation by the IOF in Gaza.

It stressed that based on the testimonies, these horrific acts were driven by an Israeli intent of revenge and the collective punishment of the victims merely for being Palestinians. They have also left a huge negative impact on the victims' bodies, and mental and physical health.

One of the testimonies documented by Euro-Med is that of the 21-year-old Palestinian boy Ramadan Shamlakh from al-Zaytoun Neighborhood in Gaza. Shamlakh stated that the IOF has violently arrested him while also using him as a human shield in ways that violate international law. This was followed by the IOF troops taking turns beating and torturing him resulting in severe wounds all over his body and face some of which are permanent and irreversible. One of the horrible torture crimes committed by the IOF against him was cutting off part of his ear.

According to Shamlakh, an Israeli army team attacked their home when he was with his three sisters and brother Ahmed, who had been injured since 2014. They started viciously beating him and his brother right away, concentrating their beating on his brother's abdominal wound until they forced it open.

Shamlakh said that the troops had taken his brothers to an unidentified place, held him there while torturing him, and then brought him to one of the tanks before sending him home and requesting that he guard the building's upper apartments.

Once the apartments were secured, they beat him severely, threw stones at him, made him lie on his stomach, and threw stones at his legs. Meanwhile, one of the soldiers proceeded to cut his fingers and nails with a knife, then cut off a portion of his ear with it and inserted the front part inside his ear. He was struck on the head with an iron frying pan and also struck by a chair that was in the room, as he narrated.

Israeli occupation forces rape Palestinian women

On February 19, UN experts raised concern over "credible allegations" of grave human rights violations against Palestinian women and girls in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

According to the information, Palestinian women and girls were arbitrarily executed in Gaza along with their family members, even while fleeing, and, on at least one occasion, women detained were allegedly kept in a cage in the rain and cold, without food.

The experts expressed they were "particularly distressed" about reports of detained women and girls being subjected to numerous forms of sexual assault, like being stripped naked and searched by male Israeli army officers.

At least two female Palestinian detainees were raped, while others were reportedly threatened with rape and sexual abuse.

The experts expressed concern that an unknown number of Palestinian women and children, including girls, have reportedly gone missing after contact with the Israeli occupation in Gaza. “There are disturbing reports of at least one female infant forcibly transferred by the Israeli army into 'Israel,' and of children being separated from their parents, whose whereabouts remain unknown,” the experts said.
