A senior official in the Resistance told Al Mayadeen that the Palestinian Resistance will continue responding to the Israeli occupation's assassination of top commanders and its ongoing aggression on Gaza.

“The campaign continues, our next attacks are on the way,” he said.

Commenting on the new ceasefire proposal submitted by Egypt, the official affirmed that an agreement has not yet been reached, adding that the talks are continuing.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the top official noted that "Israel" is increasing talk of military calm after its assassinations, aiming at spreading disinformation.

“Israel wants military calm in exchange for calm, without committing to an end to the targeted killings,” the official added.

The senior Resistance official acknowledged that Netanyahu fears his government will collapse if he announces that he will abide by the Resistance's conditions.

"No leaks regarding a ceasefire should be disseminated, the Resistance alone will decide when this round of fighting will end," he said.

The top Resistance official concluded by lauding Egyptian efforts in the mediation and affirming that the Palestinian Resistance is dealing with the talks in a positive spirit.

Israeli aggression on Gaza continues for fifth day

For the fifth consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces launched a series of air raids all over the Gaza Strip.

Israeli warplanes targeted residential buildings in the north, center, and south of the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring a number of Palestinians.

In response to the brutal Israeli aggression, the Palestinian Resistance fired hundreds of rockets of varying ranges. Concurrently, Israeli occupation radio reports that sirens are blaring in occupied Asqalan, illegal settlements: "Kibbutz Nirim" and "Ein Hashlosha", near the border with the Gaza Strip.

Al Mayadeen's Gaza Correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation targeted farmland east of Gaza.

A source from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement told Al Mayadeen late Friday that circulating media reports talking of de-escalation are false.

Israeli media reported that the Palestinian Resistance has been preparing for a massive missile strike.
