Blasts were heard in northern occupied Palestine on Wednesday afternoon, raising concerns among Israeli settlers, after Iron Dome interceptor missiles were launched into the sky due to the false identification of a threat.
The Israeli occupation forces stated in a statement that an Iron Dome battery fired two interceptor missiles in response to a false alert and that there were no security concerns.
The Israeli occupation went into Wednesday amid heightened tensions as its occupation forces were brutally assaulting Palestinians in Al-Aqsa Mosque, occupied Al-Quds.
The explosions also came amid warnings that the Israeli occupation risked dragging the region toward "total escalation" after the IOF carried out overnight strikes near Damascus before carrying out strikes on Gaza the following night.
"Syria warns Israel and its sponsors once again of the dangers of these aggressive policies, which push the region towards total escalation and a new phase of insecurity and instability," it said in a statement.
"Syria warns Israel and its sponsors once again of the dangers of these aggressive policies, which push the region towards total escalation and a new phase of insecurity and instability," Damascus said in a statement.
"Tel Aviv's" concerns also come in the wake of the Palestinian resistance launching two salvoes of rockets toward the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948, with reports saying that several rockets hit Israeli military targets.
Al Mayadeen correspondent in Gaza reported later on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation carried out air aggression at dawn targeting several Palestinian Resistance sites.
Explosions were heard in the Israeli settlement of "Sderot" in the Gaza envelope, Israeli media reported.
The response came after the Israeli occupation forces raided Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Al-Quds and assaulted the Palestinians who are stationed there as part of the religious practice of Itikaf, which is highly prevalent during the holy month of Ramadan.
As a prelude to the raid, an Al Mayadeen correspondent reported, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) cut the power off the Al-Qibli prayer hall despite hundreds of Palestinians being stationed there.
In light of the raid, Palestinian media said injuries had been recorded in Al-Qibli prayer hall of Al-Aqsa, with there being calls for medics to be sent to the holy site.

Moreover, our correspondent said the Israeli occupation military was put on high alert on all fronts and borders, declaring it "a sensitive and dangerous day" and calling on all settlers of the Gaza envelope settlements to stay in shelters.
Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that "Israel" wants to carry out a limited response to the rocket fire from Gaza to avoid escalation on the eve of the Passover holiday.
