Former Palestinian Deputy PM Nasser Al-Shaer wounded in Nablus
Former Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister Nasser Al-Shaer was shot in Nablus by unknown assailants.
On Friday evening, former Deputy Prime Minister Nasser Al-Din Al-Shaer was wounded in the village of Kafr Qelil, south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.
Police spokesman Colonel Louay Irzeigat reported that Nasser Al-Din Al-Shaer was wounded after he was shot by unknown assailants in Nablus.
He added that the police and security services have begun search and investigation procedures for the perpetrators.

Local sources stated that he was shot by several bullets in his feet and was taken to Rafidia Hospital for treatment, but his health condition is stable.
For his part, the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, condemned the incident and stressed that such actions are unacceptable.
Abbas issued orders to the security services to immediately investigate the incident, arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice, wishing Al-Shaer a speedy recovery.
