The Government Media Office in Gaza also announced that Yousef Nakhalah, a journalist at Watania News Agency, was killed on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
The Media Office strongly condemned the systematic targeting and killing of Palestinian journalists by Israeli forces. It urged the International Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists Union, and all press organizations worldwide to denounce the deliberate campaign against journalists and media workers in the Gaza Strip.
This raises the total number of Palestinian journalists killed in Gaza since October 7, 2023, to 226.
The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate said "Israel" has destroyed 115 media offices in Gaza since the beginning of the war.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that Israeli airstrikes have killed 23 Palestinians in various parts of the Gaza Strip since dawn Thursday.

Hospital targeted for 8th time
The director of Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, Dr. Fadel Naim, confirmed that this was the eighth time the hospital has been targeted since the start of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza. He warned that the hospital is under severe strain following the shutdown of numerous other medical facilities across Gaza.
'Compound crime'
In a statement, the Palestinian Resistance Committees mourned the slain journalists and described the attack as a “compound crime” targeting both a civilian hospital and journalists reporting from the scene.
The group called on all international press unions and journalist organizations to take immediate action to halt Israeli crimes against Palestinian media workers and urged all news agencies to boycott the Israeli government and its officials.
Continued bloodshed across Gaza
In southern Gaza, four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli strike near Bani Suheila junction, east of Khan Younis. Two more were killed in a separate strike that targeted a humanitarian vehicle west of Khan Younis.
In the north, two people, including a pregnant woman, were killed in an airstrike on Jabalia town. Israeli artillery also shelled the al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
