Mohammed Al-Shaqaqi, the spokesman for the Mohjat al-Quds Foundation, told Al Mayadeen that Mohammed al-Arida, one of the six heroes of the Freedom Tunnel Operation, has since his arrest has been subjected to solitary confinement and frequent relocation in an effort to disturb his psychological stability and comfort.

Al-Shaqaqi noted that Aridah is currently held in the Ramon prison, where he is living under harsh conditions: adding that the occupation prison administration practices a policy of medical neglect against him with the aim of slowly and discreetly killing him.

Ahmed al-Arida, Mohammed's brother, told Al Mayadeen that he "is still in isolation and suffers from many illnesses."

Aridah added that the last time a family member visited Mohammed was during Ramadan: noting that the occupation does not allow his mother to visit him.

Back in late April, Al Mayadeen reported that the Israeli prisons administration is aiming to isolate Aridah from everything going on around him by revoking his visitation rights illegally, as he is transferred during visitation hours or his parents are banned from visiting him under the pretext that they pose a security threat, the sources added.
