The 34-year-old Gabriel Attal will be the country's youngest leader of the government in history.
According to French BFMTV on Tuesday, Gabriel Attal, the French 34-year-old education minister, has been chosen prime minister, making him the country's youngest leader of the government in history.
Attal now needs to present ideas to President Emmanuel Macron for the establishment of a new government.
Macron, for his part, hailed the appointee on X, writing that he could rely on Attal's "energy and commitment to implement the rearmament and regeneration project."
