Gaza children killed in 3 weeks exceed annual conflicts toll in 3 yrs

Save the Children NGO says "Israel" killed in three weeks more Gaza children than the annual number of children killed in conflict zones combined since 2019.

A recent report by the children's rights NGO, Save the Children, shows that the number of children killed in Gaza over the past three weeks exceeds the annual number of children killed in all conflict zones since 2019.

From October 7 until October 29, more than 3,195 children were killed by the Israeli aggression against Gaza, and another 6,360 were injured.

The report points out that more than 40% of the victims of the aggression on Gaza are children. 

The death toll of children killed in the war on Gaza exceeds that of the annual death toll of 2020 (2,674), 2021 (2,515), and 2022 (2,985).

It is worth noting that by October 31, the number of children killed in Gaza had exceeded 3,500. 

With these figures, it becomes clear that the Western-backed aggression on Gaza has sharply exceeded the brutality of any military conflict in recent years, surpassing the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, the al-Qaeda groups' suicide bombing attacks, the civil war in Sudan, and ISIS and other terrorist groups in Syria.

Earlier today, the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) has again called for a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza, as thousands of children have died amid "Israel's" ruthless campaign of genocide on the Strip, in what the UNICEF described as "a living hell."

UNICEF Spokesperson James Elder said in a presser in Geneva on Tuesday, "Gaza has become a graveyard for thousands of children," adding, "It's a living hell for everyone else." He noted that more than 3,450 children have died in Gaza since October 7.

The death toll is constantly rising amid the Israeli genocide in the Strip. Just yesterday, Israeli occupation forces committed a new massacre that resulted in more than 400 martyrs in Jabalia Refugee Camp.

Elder further tackled the issue of "Israel" blocking water to the Strip, as more than 1 million children are now at risk of dying from dehydration as a result of the Israeli blockade.

“Our gravest fears about the reported numbers of children killed becoming dozens, then hundreds, and ultimately thousands were realized in just a fortnight,” Elder expressed.

With Gaza’s children “living through a nightmare,” Elder said, "Israel" must end its blockade of the territory, “And if there is no ceasefire – no water, no medicine, and no release of abducted children – then we hurtle toward even greater horrors afflicting innocent children.”
