The Government Media Office in Gaza announced on Monday that the number of martyrs due to the Israeli aggression on the Strip exceeded 15,000.

Among the martyrs are more than 6,150 children and over 4,000 women, the office detailed, noting that efforts are currently underway to recover the bodies of Palestinians still trapped under the rubble.

"Dozens of martyrs have been pulled from under the rubble or their bodies were collected from the streets, while others succumbed to their injuries," the office stated.

Additionally, it was reported that approximately 7,000 individuals are still missing, either trapped under the debris or their fate is unknown. This number includes more than 4,700 children and women.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza earlier reported that the Israeli aerial and artillery bombardment did not stop in areas across Gaza until the last moments before the truce went into effect.

Just days before the temporary truce started, Israeli occupation forces committed a massacre in northern Gaza, killing more than 60 Palestinians from the Jabalia refugee camp, northeast of Gaza, Al Mayadeen's correspondent confirmed then.

Furthermore, the Israeli occupation also carried out two massacres at al-Fakhoura and Tal al-Zaatar schools, where forcibly displaced Palestinians from Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip were taking refuge.

These schools, affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), which were subjected to relentless Israeli shelling, are among the largest shelters in the Gaza Strip.

As per the Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai al-Kaila, 200 people were martyred in the Israeli bombing of al-Fakhoura School.

In the latest toll, data showed that the IOF committed more than 1,354 massacres.
