Hospitals in Gaza received the bodies of 10 Palestinians in 24 hours, including two newly martyred, while the remaining were recovered from under the rubble, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Monday.
Rescue and civil defense teams continue to face immense difficulties accessing areas targeted by Israeli airstrikes, as many victims remain trapped beneath the debris and in the streets, unreachable due to the intensity of the destruction and ongoing threats.
Since the announced ceasefire on October 11, 2025, the Ministry reported:
- 238 martyrs
- 600 injuries
- 510 bodies recovered
Attacks ongoing despite ceasefire
The Israeli occupation launched several attacks today on the Gaza Strip, resulting in martyrs and injuries, in violation of the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 11.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent confirmed that three Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire north of Rafah. The Israeli military also carried out two airstrikes on the town of Aabasan, east of Khan Younis, and opened fire from helicopters and armored vehicles in the southern Gaza Strip.
Our correspondent reported injuries from Israeli army gunfire east of the al-Bureij refugee camp, which was also subjected to Israeli artillery shelling. Israeli gunboats shelled the beach at Nuseirat refugee camp, and Israeli forces opened fire east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
In Gaza City, two injuries from Israeli army gunfire on Al-Sha'af Street were reported. Moreover, house demolitions were carried out in the eastern part of the city.
This comes as the Israeli occupation continues to delay the entry of sufficient aid to the people of Gaza and the necessary equipment for clearing rubble and reopening roads.
'Israel' hands over 45 Palestinian bodies
In a related development, the bodies of 45 Palestinian martyrs were handed over today by the Israeli occupation via the International Committee of the Red Cross. This brings the total number of recovered bodies of martyrs handed over by "Israel" to 270.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire amid continued challenges in search and rescue operations and the recovery of the dead.
Since the ceasefire went into effect in early October 2025, Israeli violations have been ongoing nonstop.
The Gaza Government Media Office warned that these repeated breaches risked completely collapsing the truce that was intended to stabilize humanitarian conditions in the besieged territory.
On October 29, 2025, Hamas political bureau member Mohammed Nazzal accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of deliberately undermining the ceasefire, asserting that “Netanyahu is willing, with premeditation and malice aforethought, to violate the agreement and send a message that he can violate it whenever he wants.” The Resistance, Nazzal warned, “will not stand idly by if these violations continue.”
Flooding risk threatens thousands
The Government Operations Room for Emergency Interventions in the Gaza Strip issued an urgent appeal to the United Nations, its agencies, and international and humanitarian organizations for immediate action, as winter approaches, to save thousands of displaced families at risk of flooding in low-lying areas of the Gaza Strip.
It stressed in a statement on Monday that alternative and safe shelter centers are needed before the situation worsens.
The Operations Room warned that the humanitarian situation poses an imminent danger in areas most vulnerable to flooding, rainwater accumulation, and sea surges, particularly given the extensive destruction inflicted on infrastructure by the continued aggression and extermination waged by the Israeli occupation over the past two years.
The statement highlighted severe damage to drainage networks and roads, as well as the lack of basic protection and heating means for thousands of displaced families.
Most affected areas
The areas most at risk of flooding and collapse include the al-Jazira area along Salah al-Din Street from the Maghazi junction to the Bureij junction, Sahn al-Barka and the Wadi al-Salqa basin in the central governorate, displaced persons gathering along the coastal Al-Rashid Street spanning 26 kilometers from the northern to the southern parts of the Strip, and the camps east of Deir al-Balah and Al-Nafaq Street in Gaza City.
Samah Hammad, Head of the Government Operations Room, explained that international organizations possess ready-to-use shelter supplies but are still awaiting permission to bring them into the Strip, while the Israeli occupation authorities continue to obstruct the entry of humanitarian aid and fail to comply with the ceasefire agreement stipulating the entry of 600 aid trucks daily.
Hammad noted that between October 1 and 25, 2025, only 5,078 trucks entered Gaza, averaging 203 trucks per day, far below the minimum humanitarian needs, particularly for shelter materials and tents.
