Gazprom Seeks Increasing Gas Supplies to Europe
Russia's Gazprom, the main supplier of gas to Europe, announces it is fully committed to its contractual obligations.
Russia's Gazprom said on Friday it is exporting gas to the European market in full compliance with its contractual obligations.
Gazprom supplies gas to consumers as per their request, whilst observing all standing contractual obligations, and seeks to fulfill requests for additional supplies according to its available resources, the company said in a statement it issued commenting on the complaint the European parliamentarians addressed to the company's press office.
Earlier, the European Commission had announced receiving a letter from a number of members of the European Parliament requesting an analysis of Gazprom practices in the EU gas market.
It is worth noting that Gazprom is the main gas supplier to Europe, and its share of gas imports to the European market at the end of last year reached 56%.
