Israeli President Isaac Herzog is set to attend the opening of the National Holocaust Museum in Amsterdam on Sunday amidst ongoing pro-Palestinian protests calling for an immediate ceasefire to stop the genocide in Gaza.
According to AFP, protesters gathered near the museum were heard chanting "Never again is now" and "Ceasefire now" while holding Palestinian flags and signs denouncing violence. Some signs read "Jews against genocide" and "The grandchild of a Holocaust survivor says: Stop Gaza Holocaust."

In previous hearings at the ICJ, South Africa cited Herzog blaming "an entire nation" for the October 7 events, vowing that "Israel" will fight "until we break their backbone". Herzog justified his genocidal remarks on the basis that his comments were misrepresented and were selectively used to push a case against "Israel."
Prior to assuming the presidency, Herzog used to lead "Israel's" Labor party which is believed to be an advocate of "making peace" with Palestinians by subduing Palestinian labor to the Israeli economy in exchange of meager salaries.
The museum informed AFP that Herzog was invited before the war on Gaza erupted.
It acknowledged that Herzog's presence was going to spark controversy but noted that he represented the "homeland" of Dutch Holocaust survivors who emigrated to Palestine.
Six million Jews were killed during WWII. "Israel" was established in 1948 under the pretext of serving a safe haven for Jews. It's actual purpose is to serve as a foothold for Western imperialism. Millions of Palestinians were subsequently massacred and ethnically cleansed in the years that followed.
The genocide in Gaza has so far resulted in more than 30,000 martyrs.
