Ghalibaf to Hezbollah: Defeat of 'Israel' equivalent to 2006 defeat
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Iranian Shura Council speaker, praised the success of Operation Arbaeen, during which the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon retaliated against 'Israel' for the assassination of the martyred leader, Fouad Shokor.
The Iranian Shura Council speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, considered that "the defeat of the Zionist entity today is equivalent to its defeat in 2006."
In a post on his account on X, Ghalibaf said that Hezbollah "succeeded during the Arbaeen Operation in targeting the sensitive military and intelligence facilities of the Zionist entity," adding, "I salute the freedom fighter brothers in Hezbollah, the resisting people of Lebanon, especially in the southern suburbs."

Iranian Shura Council speaker vows retaliation for Haniyeh's murder
Earlier this morning, Ghalibaf, in a public session of parliament reaffirmed Iran's commitment to avenging the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, framing it as both a national and religious duty.
Ghalibaf warned that the "Zionist entity should brace for severe retaliation from the Iranian people."
Addressing the Israeli carnage in Gaza, specifically the harrowing massacre at al-Tabieen school in Gaza City, Ghalibaf condemned it as evidence of the Zionist entity's inhumanity, asserting that "the Zionists understand only the language of power."
He described the Israeli actions as war crimes against humanity. Elsewhere in his remarks, Ghalibaf called on Islamic nations to offer tangible support to Palestinian Resistance in countering these crimes.
