Citizens of the occupied Syrian Golan reaffirmed their categorical rejection of the Israeli occupation decision to annex Golan, stressing that the Golan has been, still is, and will remain Syrian Arab territory and that the Israeli occupation will inevitably perish.
“We, as people in the occupied Syrian Golan, stress our strong rejection of the ominous annexation decision and all measures that emerge from it,” Golan citizens said in a statement on the 40th anniversary of the ominous annexation decision.
The citizens of Golan stressed that the whole of Golan, in each and every part of it, is Syrian Arab from the beginning of time and forever, confirming that the Israeli occupation of the Golan will come to an end.
They also affirmed their national affiliation to the motherland, Syria, as well as their pride in their Syrian identity and nationality, confirming their rejection of any form of “Israeli citizenship”.
The statement added, “We aspire for the moment when Golan is liberated and back to the homeland, Syria.”
Golan citizens greeted President Bashar Al-Assad and saluted the Syrian Army and people.
On February 14, 1982, Golan citizens staged a strike that lasted for 6 months in protest against the ominous Israeli annexation decision, which led to complete paralysis in various areas of the occupied Golan, and they held massive demonstrations through which they were able to impose their will, categorically rejecting the racist Israeli decision.
