Hailing resilient people, Lebanese MP: 'Israel' pleaded for ceasefire
A prominent member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc in the Lebanese Parliament affirms that the negotiations were conducted indirectly.
Ibrahim al-Moussawi, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc in the Lebanese Parliament, stated that while the Israeli occupation had raised bold slogans to defeat the Resistance, it ultimately found itself pleading for a ceasefire.
In an interview for Al Mayadeen, al-Moussawi explained that the Resistance had made it clear that the return of settlers to the northern settlements could only happen through indirect negotiations and a ceasefire.
He emphasized that the negotiations were indeed conducted indirectly, emphasizing that the recent developments were "a practical implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701."
Al-Moussawi also dismissed any relevance of agreements between "Israel" and the United States, stating, "These agreements are of no concern to us."
He extended a great salute to the supportive popular base from all factions, regions, and sects, as well as to the media, particularly Al Mayadeen.
On the subject of the funeral of Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Al-Moussawi confirmed that "it will be held at the appropriate moment."
It is important to note that the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and "Israel" took effect at 4 am Beirut time today. The agreement mandates that both Lebanon and "Israel" adhere to UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
