Haiti's interim Prime Minister, Garry Conille, has been hospitalized with respiratory issues just days after arriving in Haiti and being sworn in.
Haiti's interim Prime Minister, Garry Conille, has been hospitalized with respiratory issues.
The interim PM was reportedly in stable condition according to reports from local outlet Radio Metronome on Saturday.
In their post on X, Radio Metronome reported that a "medical source noted that arrangements are being made to evacuate him to a hospital outside the country," adding that "according to our contact, PM Garry Conille suffers from chronic asthma."

Haiti's transitional council names former PM Conille to lead country
Earlier, according to one of its members, Conille, Haiti's ex-prime minister from 2011 to 2012, was named as the new prime minister by Haiti's transitional government council on May 28.
Speaking with AFP, one of the council members said that Conille was chosen in a 6-1 vote on the afternoon of May 28.
On social media, Council President Edgard Leblanc and member Fritz Alphonse Jean also declared that Conille was selected as the new prime minister.
