The spokesperson for the Israeli occupation military, Daniel Hagari, acknowledged Hamas' superiority over the Israeli forces in terms of information possessed within the Gaza Strip.

During a press conference on Saturday, Hagari indicated that Hamas outmatches "Israel" in terms of intelligence, explaining that Hamas is well-acquainted with the areas of the Gaza Strip.

He mentioned that the Palestinian Resistance movement possesses complex and intricate capabilities underground, noting that there are areas that the Israeli forces couldn't access," without specifying them.

The Israeli military spokesperson emphasized that this war will be prolonged and not time-bound.

In a related context, the Israeli Institute for National Security Studies considered that "Hamas has once again succeeded in mocking Israel, racking its nerves, and reaping gains in the cognitive realm."

Israeli media outlets also reported that contrary to recent claims by the Israeli occupation military, "Hamas still maintains strong control on the ground," noting that this control extends across various areas of the Gaza Strip, not just in the south.

Earlier, Hamas official Osama Hamdan underlined that the Israeli occupation military "has not set foot on 80% of Gaza's land," highlighting that around a thousand Israeli soldiers are wounded in Gaza, including 200 in critical condition.

Gaza's Resistance fiercely confronts invading forces

Pairing the direct ground operation with continuous rocket barrages on Israeli positions in the Gaza Envelope and central occupied cities, the Palestinian Resistance has announced a series of operations, confirming casualties among invading Israeli occupation forces.

Al-Qassam Brigades

  • Hamas' military wing confirmed that its fighters targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with a Shawaz, Explosively Formed Penetrator (EFP), piercing the tank's armor, completely destroying it, and setting it ablaze.
  • Al-Qassam fighters executed an ambush near al-Tawam junction in the northern Gaza Strip, targeting an Israeli infantry force with heavy-caliber rifles and anti-personnel explosives, confirming that several enemy troops were killed in the attack.
  • In Gaza City, an al-Qassam sniper shot down an Israeli soldier, the Resistance faction announced.

Al-Quds Brigades

  • The Palestinian Islamic Jihad's military wing confirmed that its fighters destroyed an Israeli Merkava tank using their homegrown Thaqeb armor-piercing explosive device in the al-Sheikh Radwan neighborhood.
  • In Beit Hanoun, the Brigades fired tandem PG-7VR at Israeli armored vehicles, directly hitting their targets, including three armored vehicles and an armored military-grade bulldozer.

In this round of confrontations, the Resistance has seen relative success with its home-ground explosive devices and EFPs, which have been deployed in higher frequency, since the renewal of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
