Hamas refutes claims of sending messages on ceasefire talks renewal
Hamas has indicated it will not participate in the upcoming ceasefire negotiations scheduled for August 15, unless previous conditions proposed in July are considered.
Hamas' political chief in Gaza Yahya Sinwar has not passed any messages through mediators concerning the ongoing ceasefire talks with "Israel", Hamas' representative in Lebanon Ahmed Abdel Hadi told Sputnik on Wednesday.
Despite reports from Turkish newspaper Hurriyet that Egyptian and Qatari mediators had conveyed to "Israel" that Hamas was ready to agree to a truce in Gaza on Israeli terms, Hadi refuted these claims, stating that the movement has clearly communicated its stance on resuming negotiations.
"All the news in the media about the message from Hamas political chief Yahya Sinwar is not true. The movement has made clear its position on resuming negotiations," Hadi said.

Hadi accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting to prolong the war by orchestrating a massacre at al-Tabieen school, despite calls from the US, Egypt, and Qatar for a new round of talks.
"This is a clear message from Netanyahu that he is not interested in [a deal]," Hadi said.
On August 10, Palestinian authorities reported that an Israeli missile strike on al-Tabieen School in Gaza resulted in the deaths of approximately 100 people, mostly displaced persons.
"Israel" justified the massacre by alleging that Hamas had established a military headquarters at the site.
Deceptive tactic
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) on Monday condemned reports of US efforts to impose a ceasefire agreement, describing them as a deceptive tactic by the Biden administration to obscure ongoing aggression and ensure the continuation of "Israel's" genocidal campaign.
The PFLP criticized the US for its military support for "Israel" and warned that using negotiations to extend the war turns them into an instrument of war.
The PFLP insisted that mediators should demand an immediate stop to Israeli crimes before any talks and rejected the idea of new negotiations without a clear commitment from "Israel" to previously proposed conditions.
