Hamas spokesperson in Occupied Al-Quds Mohammad Hamadeh told Al Mayadeen the message behind the resistance operation executed by Martyr Fadi Abu Shkheidem this morning was that "the Resistance is keeping watch over the occupation's actions, and will not take it for granted."

Hamadeh noted that the choice of Bab al-Silsila was also a message to the occupation that its attacks will not go on, and that the Resistance will, stressing that the occupation's practices in Al-Quds were only fuel for the fire that will burn it.

The spokesperson underscored that "the resistance of our people in the West Bank and Al-Quds is ongoing, and we promise the occupation that the Resistance will grow stronger." The occupation's retaliatory operations "will not dissuade us, and it cannot do more than it has already done," he added.

He called for an increase in resistance operations on the contact points of the West Bank, asserting that the Palestinian people would not allow the occupation to close the gates of Al-Aqsa and Al-Quds.

Hamas lauded Martyr Abu Shkheidem's actions, describing him as a ranking member of Hamas from the Shu'afat refugee camp, and stating that all-out resistance, and mainly armed resistance, is the only measure that can contain the enemy and stop its aggression.

Abu Skheidem had executed an operation Sunday morning at Bab al-Silsila in occupied al-Quds using a submachine gun, killing an Israeli and wounding others. IOF soldiers were on high alert after the operation, with the Israeli occupation's PM ordering forces to remain on alert in al-Quds in fear of a wave of operations.

Resistance factions laud the heroic operation

Hamas announced that this morning's Bab al-Silsila operation is a normal retaliatory operation against the occupation's increasing crimes in occupied Al-Quds and its vicinity.

"Al-Quds will continue to fight until the expulsion of the foreign occupation, and will not surrender to the ugly reality of the occupation," Hamas Spokesperson Hazem Qasem said on Twitter.

Palestinian Islamic Jihad also hailed the "heroic operation that took place this morning in occupied Al-Quds," underscoring that it was "a natural retaliation for the increase in the terrorist practices of the Israeli settlers and the IOF soldiers, and the occupation government's insistence on adopting a policy of aggression, demolition, and displacement against our people in Al-Quds."

"This heroic operation," the statement said, "signifies the power and vigor of the Resistance, and the Palestinian people's devotion to the Resistance as a path to deter the occupation and crush its arrogance."
