Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has accused the Israeli occupation of continuing a campaign of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip for 455 consecutive days.

In a statement issued on Friday, Hamas Political Bureau member Basem Naim said the Israeli military has employed "sadistic crimes, brutal terrorism, indiscriminate bombing, and fascist revenge tactics" against the Palestinian population, with full support from the US, the UK, and certain Western nations.

He described these actions as flagrant violations of international law, the UN charter, and basic human values.

Naim highlighted the destruction of Gaza's healthcare infrastructure, particularly in the north, as one of the most heinous crimes committed by "Israel" during the 15-month war on the blockaded strip.

The Hamas senior official underlined that the Israeli occupation forces were preventing the delivery of essential medicine, fuel, and medical supplies to civilians and hospitals, while obstructing the work of medical teams and ambulances.

Naim said that in the last 24 hours alone, the Israeli occupation intensified its attacks, conducting over 34 airstrikes across Gaza, killing more than 105 Palestinians.

Commemorating resistance leaders

Marking the first anniversary of the assassination of Sheikh Saleh al-Arouri, Hamas reaffirmed its commitment to the Resistance, stating, "The movement continues to offer its leaders and founders as martyrs."

The statement also noted ongoing efforts by Hamas to engage with international governments and organizations to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians and lift the blockade on Gaza.

Meanwhile, Hamas confirmed the resumption of indirect negotiations with the Israeli occupation in Doha, reiterating its commitment to achieving a ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. The movement described its approach as "serious, positive, and aimed at reaching an agreement."

PA actions in Jenin 'criminal'

The statement condemned the Palestinian Authority's recent operations in the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, calling them a "complete national crime" involving siege, deliberate killings, arrests, and torture.

Hamas accused the Palestinian Authority of actions that serve "only the occupation and its malicious plans to eliminate resistance in the West Bank."

Hamas called on all Palestinian factions to pressure the Palestinian Authority to cease such actions and instead work towards unity. "From the beginning, we sought to organize domestic issues in Palestine and demonstrated flexibility to reach national agreements," the statement read.

Healthcare, prisoner concerns

Hamas held the Israeli regime fully responsible for the safety of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, and others who have been detained.

The movement urged the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Red Cross to take immediate action, resist Israeli pressures, and deploy international monitors to Gaza’s hospitals to ensure their protection.

The statement also demanded pressure on the Israeli occupation to allow inspections of prisons and detention centers, where Palestinian detainees face severe torture.

Gaza governance

Meanwhile, regarding the governance of Gaza, Hamas expressed support for an Egyptian-backed initiative to establish a temporary community support committee to manage Gaza's affairs. The group urged Fatah and the Palestinian Authority to cooperate with these efforts to create a unified political framework.

Hamas concluded its statement with a renewed call for international accountability, humanitarian intervention, and the protection of Palestinians facing the ongoing Israeli aggression.
